NC-H.O.P.E. Peer Support Specialist Certification Training Program
Helping people... Advocating… Linking to useful resources... Offering hope to the masses… Every day. Sure, peer support work has its rewards. But being a peer support specialist (PSS) can also be challenging, frustrating, and can, at times, make you sad. But there is always H.O.P.E.!
Unlike any training you’ll ever attend, NC-H.O.P.E. Peer Support Specialist Certification Training Program is an empowering and engaging professional development opportunity designed to prepare individuals for the 'real' world of peer support. NC-H.O.P.E. is about Helping Our Peers Excel.
The core of our training mission is hope; to impart optimism and positive outcomes in our own lives, the lives of our peers, and in the world at large. This week-long training is welcoming, supportive, safe, and fun. It allows our participants a creative space to learn, grow, and connect with one another. Offering the most elite compilation of resources, guidance, research, and best practices available today, our training presents this valuable knowledge in one program to ensure your success in the work of Peer Support.
A training program with a fresh perspective on peer support today, NC-H.O.P.E. ensures that participants feel comfortable working as a PSS in their local communities, with peers and the organizations that serve them, while honoring the NCCPSS Code of Ethics along the way. Once you complete our training, you will be equipped to enter the workforce as a member of a professional care team at a North Carolina-based mental health agency. No work is more rewarding than spreading H.O.P.E. and Helping Our Peers Excel.
