Melissa Lewis is a Licensed Recreational Therapist, a NC Certified Peer Support Specialist, a Copeland Center Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) Facilitator, and a Take Your Heart to Work Trainer. Melissa is inspired to learn and has participated in numerous classes, trainings, and workshops, to increase her knowledge. Melissa has a heart for people and has worked with people of all ages and ability levels, in a variety of settings including inpatient behavioral health hospitals, day cares, schools, and in the community, for more than 20 years. Melissa recognized needs in the community and founded Creekside Recreational Therapy Services (Creekside RTS) to meet those needs. At Creekside RTS, she facilitates classes and groups centered around wellness and health, as well as coping strategies and wellness tools.
