Peer Support Specialist

Peer Support Specialist employed by  Peter -Elst LLC  DBA Divine Support Edge Healthcare Services shall  facilitate /provide one on one  peer support to  individual served to encourage/inspire recovery  focused    goals. Peer Specialist shall clients in developing their recovery short  and long range goals and action plans. Peer  Specialist  shall drive  their support through  appropriate  Advocacy and  Resource Navigation to link individual served to community resources for  enhanced wellness. Peer Specialists  are expected to be  passionate certified  worker  who have  history/experience similar to the individual served. . Salary range $16-20* Based on experience.

Qualifications and Certification 

Lived Experience:

• Personal experience with mental health challenges and/or substance use disorder and sustained recovery.
• Demonstrated ability to share recovery experiences in a manner that supports and inspires others.

• Certification as a North Carolina Peer Support Specialist.
• Completion of relevant peer support training programs.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach to client care.
• Ability to maintain boundaries and confidentiality.
