This position requires the applicant to hold both a QMHP status, Peer Support certification or Certificate of Peer Supports Supervision.

A QMHP is a person with a minimum of a bachelor degree and 2-4 years of experience working with adults with MH/SAA needs.

Responsibilities:

   Coordinates services and assures person-centeredness in all aspects of the service planning process.
   Participates in the initial development, implementation, and ongoing revisions of the Individuals’ Person-Centered Plan (PCP), Crisis Plan
   Assists with the submission of periodic authorization requests for continuation or establishment of services to the Local Management Entities – Managed Care Organizations
   Support clients in the development of various skill building activities, including daily and community living skills, socialization skills, adaptation skills, and behavior and anger management
   Monitor utilization of service to ensure that it is effective, appropriate, and within the limits set forth in both rule, PCP, and the service authorization
   Provides individual supportive therapy and system management
   Ensures immediate changes are made in treatment plans as client educates and supports client’s families; and advocates for clients’ rights and preferences.
   Consults with community agencies and families to maintain coordination in the treatment process.
   Documents client progress to maintain a permanent record of client activity according to established methods and procedures.
   Provides symptom education to enable clients to identify their mental illness symptoms. psychosocial rehabilitative interventions and case coordination
   Must have a strong commitment to the rights and ability of each person with a severe and persistent mental illness to live in normal community residence; work in market jobs; and have access to helpful, adequate, competent, and continuous supports and services. Skills and competence to establish supportive trusting relationships with persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses and respect for client rights and personal preferences in treatment are essential.
   Qualified Professionals (QPs) may be required to provide supervision to staff member of Associate Professionals (APs) and Paraprofessionals (PP) status.

Requirements:

   Bachelor’s degree from approved, accredited institution
   Credentialed as a Mental Health Qualified Professional
   Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully provide PSR services
   Minimum of two years' experience working with the Adult Mental Health Population
   Possess current, unrestricted, state appropriate driver’s license
   Possess current, unrestricted, vehicle insurance and provide own transportation for use in fulfilling job requirements
   Certifications required: CPR, NCI, First Aid, Bloodborne, and CPSS.
