Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing assistance and guidance to individuals facing challenges related to mental health, addiction, and behavioral health.

We are seeking potential hires from the following counties: Stokes, Forsyth, Yadkin, Davie, Surry, and Iredell.

Duties

  • Provide service coordination; crisis assessment and intervention; symptom assessment and management; individual counseling and psychotherapy, administration, monitoring and documentation; substance abuse treatment; work-related services;
  • Activities of daily living services; social, interpersonal relationship and leisure-time activity services;
  • Support services or direct assistance to ensure that individuals obtain the basic necessities of daily life; and education, support, and consultation to individuals’ families and other major supports.
  • Provides highly individualized services in the community and promotes individual self-determination and decision-making.
  • Provides consumer education and individual/system advocacy.
  • Provide services in the community and in conjunction with other team members.
  • May need to shift work schedule based on needs of the individuals served by the team.
  • Team member must be available to provide treatment, rehabilitation, and support activities during the week.

Experience
Candidates should possess experience or training in the following areas:

  • An individual who is or has been a recipient of mental health services with a mental illness.
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Must have completed NC Certified Peer Support Specialist courses and received a NC Certified Peer Support Specialist Certification.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
