King Prestige Services is a CARF-accredited agency. At King Prestige Services, LLC, you will utilize your personal lived recovery experience to assist and support Members on an individual basis. Your role will involve advocacy for your client, direct peer support, and close collaboration with the clinical team to enhance client outcomes. This is a field position covering all areas of Eastern and Western North Carolina. We are specifically seeking Full-time or Part-time Certified Peer Support Specialists in Forsyth County.

Key Responsibilities for Peer Support Specialist:

  • Provide individual peer support to Members.
  • Share personal recovery experiences to inspire hope and offer encouragement.
  • Assist Members in developing customized recovery goals tailored to their specific needs and circumstances.
  • Identify and connect Members with community resources, such as housing, employment, educational opportunities, and healthcare services.
  • Provide information and referrals about appropriate services to Members.
  • Facilitate community involvement for Members.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain timely and accurate Progress Notes of client interactions.
  • Report any significant changes in client status to the Qualified Professional (QP) and the clinical team.

Certification/Training and Personal Development:

  • Certification as a North Carolina Peer Support Specialist.
  • Completion of relevant peer support training programs.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training to maintain certification and enhance skills.
  • Stay informed about current best practices in peer support and recovery.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Display patience, empathy, and a non-judgmental approach to client care.
  • Share lived experiences with Members to assist them in their recovery.
  • Maintain boundaries and confidentiality.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work within the chosen county in Eastern or Western North Carolina.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
