JOB TITLE: TASC Peer Support Specialist (Community)
SUPERVISED BY: TASC PSS Supervisor
LOCATION: Alamance County
Coastal Horizons Center, Inc. is seeking a qualified Peer Support Specialist (PSS) for our TASC (Treatment Accountability for Safer Communities) Program in the following counties: Alamance and surrounding counties.
This position is supported by our regional offices in Burlington and Craven Counties, NC., and is an office-based position (Alamance) that requires traveling, primarily within Alamance County.
The PSS promotes consumer engagement in therapy with clinicians, engagement with psychiatric appointments, involvement and engagement with wellness services and recovery support, and engagement with primary care; completes all tracking and reporting requirements for outcomes and evaluation and documents services provided; and assists clients in a variety of ways – transportation, sharing of personal recovery stories, etc. The PSS works directly with the Care Managers to ensure continuity of care and engages in a team approach in the provision of services with TASC, probation, treatment providers, and support services.
